Christmas Collection for The Haven

Staff at Carvers Building Supplies have been busy collecting donations for the local Wolverhampton Haven charity.

All manner of gifts, toys, books, clothing, toiletries and chocolate were collected by donation co-ordinator Lesley Homer, who comments ‘Despite the dip in the economy this year, we have had a bumper year with our Christmas collection.  People have been so generous and have gone above and beyond in their donations.   Thank you to everyone who donated to help this wonderful charity’

The Haven Wolverhampton offer a range of services and activities to support women and children including a 24/7 helpline, safe accommodation, support for those living in the local community, advocacy and advice, specialist programmes, counselling, therapy and childrens services. Not everyone who is supported by The Haven lives in one of their refuges or safe houses. The Haven supports many women and children living in their own homes.  Their trained staff have a variety of expertise to ensure they can support women and children across a number of different areas.
